I found the dress!! a couple of weeks ago me and Zoey went to a bridal shop and tried on about 20 dresses, the very last dress I tried on i just knew it was the one. So much so i may or may not have had a little tear, anyway we found out how much it would cost and had a really big discussion about how i could afford to pay for it, basically i was going to have to get a second job but i was getting that dress.
A few days later I was looking for goldfish bowls on the for sale board at confetti and I found a dress for sale, in a size bigger than I need but i thought i would have a look anyway and it was THE DRESS!! so i cautiously re-checked the price and asked a million questions and then went to my mum and Dads and asked them to lend me the money to buy it straight away, so im getting it and it should be here next week. im so exited it will have to be taken in but its a corset style top so maybe not so much.

Meeting the Rector
We went to see the rector last night its going to cost us £550 for the church part of the wedding to cover the heating, organist, verger and so on, also because of the date of the wedding we cant put flowers in the church but we can have confetti outside which is more important to me. We have to go for counselling sessions with the rector before we get married. as we cant have flowers inside we might have pew end covers instead and then use them to decorate the hall afterward. I'm not sure on this yet though maybe white muslin with a pink ribbon. In other news i have found THE DRESS!!! its identical to the one in the shop but £500 less!! :) hopefully i can have it all altered perfectly as it is a size too big at the minute.

Wedding Dresses and bars
so Zo and me went dress hunting over the weekend and tried on a few dresses, i saw one that i thought was The One but now im not so sure, i have booked another appointment to try on some more dresses and hopefully i will be able to find something on budget that doesnt look wrong, Because we are getting married in a church i thought a bigger dress would be ok but now im worrying about the reception, will i look silly in a village hall in a meringue? not that im looking for a meringue but i would like a short train. if nothing else it will give the girls something to do :)
i had a look at suit hire as well over the weekend and Nicks should cost around £80 for the whole thing. that is the first price ive seen though so i may be able to get it cheaper. also Nick and me have decied on powder blue and soft pink and green for our colours. ITS FINAL!! (hmm, we'll see!)
i had the first of the quotes back for bar hire today as well and it will cost £175 with people paying for their own drinks, this is quite a releif but i habe asked a few other people how much it will be too.

Clothes... and bars.
So i have been looking for dresses, i would really like to have at least two bridesmaids and one flower girl, i have been looking at dresses on www.lightinthebox.com they are really cheap and actually look quite nice, the only concern is that they are coming from China and i don't know if it is too big a risk? the dresses i like are only £35 though so i guess if i order one and then see how it is when it arrives?
Also i have been looking at bar hire, but no-one seems to want to tell you how much it will cost you, big clue - if you have to ask its too much, I'm going to send off for a few quotes tonight and then i will post up the prices and where from etc when they get back to me. what I'm hoping to do is have a free cocktail bar (Nick's brother has offered to run this for us) and champagne for the first few hours, this will be whilst the food is being done for the limited guests and then have a full on pay bar for when everyone else arrives. The other option is to start buying drinks now and hoarding them until the wedding this will solve the problem of paying for a licence as we will be giving the drink away so this may actually save us money but then my worry would be what if we didnt have enough alcohol to last the night? what if we picked the wrong drinks?
